The McCarty Firm Secures Landmark $78.5 Million Verdict for Anonymous Media Research Holdings in Patent Infringement Trial Over Samsung
Dallas, Texas – September 27, 2025 – The McCarty Firm, PC, announced today a victory for its client, Anonymous Media Research Holdings LLC, in a high-stakes patent infringement trial against Samsung Electronics in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (EDTX) in Marshall, Texas. After a five-day trial before U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap, the 8-member jury unanimously found infringement of five claims across two patents, and awarded Anonymous Media the full damages amount requested—$78.5 million.
The trial, which spanned from jury selection on Monday to verdict on Friday, centered on Samsung’s infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 10,719,848 and 10,963,911, which cover innovative automatic content recognition technologies for measuring media consumption and commercial advertising. The jury’s decision affirmed the validity and enforceability of Anonymous Media’s groundbreaking patents and recognized the full scope of Samsung’s unauthorized use in its consumer electronics products.
“This verdict is a powerful validation of our client’s innovation and the jury’s careful consideration of the evidence,” said Warren J. McCarty III, founder and managing partner of The McCarty Firm. “Representing Anonymous Media in this hard-fought trial was a privilege.”
Warren McCarty helped lead the trial team alongside co-counsel from Houston-based AZA. The victory reinforces TMF’s strong record of achieving exceptional outcomes for clients in intellectual property disputes.
